Nitshield ("Nitshield", "we", "us") provides a job posting scam scanner, resume builder, ATS checker, cover letter generator and interview preparation tools at this website. This policy explains what data we collect when you use those tools, how we use it and the choices you have.

Account data. If you create an account, we store your name, email address and authentication credentials through our authentication provider (Supabase). We never store your password in plain text.

Content you submit. Job posting text or links you paste into the scam scanner, resumes and cover letters you upload or build, and interview practice answers you enter.

Contact messages. When you use the contact form, we store your name, email, selected topic and message so our team can reply.

Usage data. How many free scans, ATS checks and cover letters you've used this month. This is kept in your browser's local storage and, for signed in users, associated with your account.

Device and log data. Standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically for security and to keep the service running reliably.

• To create and secure your account, and to enforce free-plan usage limits.
• To respond to support requests and scam reports sent through the contact form.
• To improve our fraud-signal detection using aggregated, de-identified patterns.
• To meet legal obligations and protect against fraud or abuse of the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use resumes or scan submissions to train third-party AI models outside of what's needed to generate your own results.

We use a small number of service providers to run Nitshield, including Supabase for authentication and database hosting. These providers only process data on our instructions and under their own data-protection commitments. We may disclose information if required by law or to investigate suspected fraud or abuse of the platform.

Nitshield uses essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference and track free-plan usage limits. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The cookie notice shown on your first visit summarizes this; you can dismiss it once you've read it.

Account data is kept for as long as your account is active. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve your request. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time using the contact form.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, reach out through the contact page and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Nitshield is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
