The scam scanner analyses the wording and signals of a job posting or recruiter message and highlights patterns that frequently appear in fraudulent offers. A risk score is not definitive proof that a job, posting, recruiter or company is fraudulent, and a low score is not a certification that an opportunity is legitimate.

The tool identifies potential risk signals only. Automated analysis can produce false positives and false negatives: scammers change tactics constantly, and legitimate employers sometimes write postings that resemble fraudulent ones. Before sharing documents, personal data or money with anyone, verify independently:

• the employer’s identity, registration and official website;
• the job posting itself, through the company’s own careers channel;
• the recruiter, including whether their email domain and phone number belong to that company;
• the contact information you were given, using details you found yourself;
• any request for payment, equipment purchase, deposit, bank details or OTP — these are never a legitimate condition of being hired; and
• the offer through official hiring channels rather than a link sent to you.

If something looks wrong, stop and report it to the relevant platform or your local authorities.

Figures may be approximate or based on ranges that are no longer current.
